Pruning Principles to Live By
There are certain guidelines that all arborists and legitimate tree care companies follow. Our list is included below:
We’ll begin our visual inspection from the top of the tree and work our way to the bottom.
Never remove a quarter of the tree’s crown in-season.
Main side branches should be at least a third smaller than the full diameter of the tree’s trunk.
Don’t be too shallow, many companies try to cover up wounds with paint, but it won’t make the tree heal any faster, just let mother nature do it’s work!
We keep our equipment sharp and not dull, this makes for more efficient work when it comes to cutting branches.
